Mahiro Takasugi is cast in new movie “The Longest Picture In The World” (literal title). The movie is based on novel “Sekai de Ichiban Nagi Shashin” by Tetsuya Honda and directed by Shogo Kusano. In addition, Rina Takeda is cast in a supporting role for the film. Story for “The Longest Picture In The World” follows a young man Hironobu (Mahiro Takasugi) who lives a boring and aimless life. He then comes across a camera that is able to take the longest panoramic shots. His life changes afterwards. Rina Takeda will the cousin of Hironobu.
Filming for “The Longest Picture In The World” will take place this summer and the movie will be released next summer in Japan.
Hiroshi Abe & Nanako Matsushima are cast in movie “When The Curtain of Prayer Descend” (literal title). The movie is based on novel “Inori no Maku ga Oriru Toki” by Keigo Higashino and directed by Katsuo Fukuzawa. Also cast in the movie are Junpei Mizobata, Rena Tanaka and Tsutomu Yamazaki. Movie follows 2012 film “The Wings of the Kirin” which is based on another novel in Keigo Higashino’s “Kyoichiro Kaga” mystery series.
Filming for “When The Curtain of Prayer Descend” began June 9, 2017 and finishes July 25, 2017.
Trailer and teaser #2 added for upcoming live-action film “Ajin: Demi-Human” starring Takeru Satoh. Movie is based on manga series “Ajin” by Gamon Sakurai and directed by Katsuyuki Motohiro. The trailer features theme song “Black Memory” by alt-rock band “The Oral Cigarettes.” 20 seconds into the trailer, the narration states “That day, I knew the fact that i am Ajin. Ajin repeats life.”

Movie is based on 2015 novel “Hibana” by Naoki Matayoshi and follows 2016 Netflix-NHK drama series version “Hibana: Spark.” Movie is directed by Itsuji Itao. Story for the film follows two comedians as they struggle to achieve success.

Main trailer added for upcoming movie “Before We Vanish” starring Masami Nagasawa and Ryuhei Matsuda. Movie is directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa and had its world premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Story for the film deals with a husband who is possessed by an extraterrestrial being and his estranged wife.

Takahiro Miura, Shingo Tsurumi and Sei Shiraishi are cast in new movie “Shiori” (literally “Bookmark”). The original screenplay is based on director’s Yusuke Sakakibara own experience when he worked as a physical therapist. In the film, Takahiro Miura plays physical therapist Masaya Takano. His father (Shingo Tsurumi) soon becomes a patient at the hospital where he works and his condition worsens. Masaya Takano’s other patients also experience difficulties which makes Masaya Takano feel helpless. A new patient, injured from a rugby match, though changes his outlook on his work.
Filming for “Shiori” took place in Oita Prefecture and has already completed. “Shiori” will be released in autumn, 2018 in Japan.

Poster and main trailer added for upcoming movie “The Werewolf Game: Mad Land” starring Nana Asakawa (SUPER☆GiRLS). Movie is the 6th film based on novel “Jinroh Game” by Ryo Kawakami and the second release this year. The movie features Nana Asakawa as high school student Moe Koike. She is forced to take part in the “The Werewolf Game” where the survivor receives one million yen.

JUMP’) are cast in live-action film “That Is Not a Child But a Minor.” The movie is based on manga “Miseinen Dakedo Kodomo Janai” by Kanan Minami and directed by Tsutomu Hanabusa. Story for the film follows the marriage of Karin Oriyama (Yuna Taira) on her 16th birthday to high school senior Nao Tsurugi (Kento Nakajima). They keep their marriage a secret, but Isuzu Ebina (Yuri Chinen) learns of their secret. He has feelings for Karin Oriyama.
Filming for “That Is Not a Child But a Minor” takes place between August and September, 2017 in Tokyo and the movie will be released December 23, 2017 in Japan.
