Introductory trailer added for movie “Prince of Legend” starring Ryota Katayose, Hiroki Iijima and Akihisa Shiono. The supporting cast features various offshoot members of Exile including The Rampage. From the trailer, “Prince of Legend” seems to combine elements of “Boys Over Flowers” meets “High & Low.”

Kaoru Kobayashi and Yuya Yagira are cast for lead roles in new movie “Yoake.” Also cast in supporting roles are Young Dais (‘NORTH COAST BAD BOYZ’), Tsunekichi Suzuki and
Keiko Horiuchi. The film is written and directed by first time feature film director Nanako Hirose. Story for the film follows two men who both hold secrets about their past.
“Yoake” will be released sometime next year in Japan.
Teaser trailer added for movie “Hahasan ga Donna ni Boku wo Kirai demo” starring Taiga and Yo Yoshida. Movie is based on autobiographical manga “Hahasan ga Donna ni Boku wo Kirai demo” by Taiji Utagawa and directed by Osamu Minorikawa. The film deals with the estranged relationship between a young man and his mother.
“Hahasan ga Donna ni Boku wo Kirai demo” is now set for release sometime this November in Japan
Yo Yoshida, Reo Sano (‘GENERATIONS’) and Nijiro Murakami are cast in movie “Hanalei Bay.” Movie is based on short story”Hanalei Bay” by Haruki Murakami and directed by Daishi Matsunaga (“Pieta in the Toilet“). Story for the film follows a mother played by Yo Yoshida who lost her son to a shark attack in Hawaii while he was surfing. She goes to the bay where her son died every year. There, she hears of a young man who sounds like her son.

Special teaser trailer added for upcoming movie “Punk Samurai Slash Down” starring Gou Ayano and Keiko Kitagawa. The teaser trailer features the theme song for the movie which is none other than “Anarchy in the U.K.” by British punk band the Sex Pistols. Sadly, the teaser trailer is only 44 seconds long. Meanwhile, Masatoshi Nagase is cast as General Monkey in the upcoming film.

Ai Hashimoto is cast for a major supporting character role in movie “Oz Land” starring Haru and Hidetoshi Nishijima.
Ai Hashimoto will play Yayoi Tamachi in movie “Oz Land.” She works with Kurumi Namihiro (Haru) and Yoshiko Ozuka (Hidetoshi Nishijima) at an amusement park. She has a bright personality, which is different from her character in the original novel. “Oz Land” is based on 2015 novel “Ozu no Sekai” by Yoichi Komori and directed by Takafumi Hatano.
“Oz Land” will be released sometime this fall in Japan.

Ryunosuke Kamiki & Kasumi Arimura are cast for lead roles in movie “Fortuna’s Eye.” The film is based on novel “Forutuna no Hitomi” by Naoki Hyakuta (“The Eternal Zero“) and directed by Takahiro Miki. Story for the film follows a young man (Ryunosuke Kamiki) with the special ability to see through the bodies of people who are soon to die. The woman he likes is played by Kasumi Arimura and he is able to suddenly see through her body.

Movie is based on novel “Ningyo no Nemuru Ie” by Keigo Higashino and directed by Yukihiko Tsutsumi. The film follows a husband and wife who must a difficult choice after their daughter falls into a coma and is later determined to be brain dead.

The film is also produced by award-winning director Hirokazu Koreeda. Topics in the omnibus film cover Japan’s aging population, air pollution, artificial intelligence, & military service, all told in unique stories.
