Teaser poster and trailer added for movie “Nomitori Samurai” starring Hiroshi Abe. The samurai comedy film is based on short story collection “Nomi Tori Samurai” by Shigeo Komatsu and directed by Yasuo Tsuruhashi. In the film, Hirooshi Abe plays Hironoshin Kobayashi. After angering the daimyo in his domain, he is ordered to catch fleas from cats to make money. He ends up providing sexual service to women.

Teaser trailer for live-action film “Koi wa Ameagari no You ni” starring Nana Komatsu and Yo Oizumi. Movie is based on manga “Koi wa Ameagari no You ni” by Jun Mayuzuki and directed by Akira Nagai. In addition, supporting cast for the film has been announced today. Cast in supporting roles are Nana Seino, Hayato Isomura, Shono Hayama, Honoka Matsumoto, Maika Yamamoto, Mari Hamada, Shigeyuki Totsugi and Yo Yoshida.

“Koi wa Ameagari no You ni” will be released May 25, 2018 in Japan.

Tina Tamashiro & Yuta Koseki cast in live-action drama series and movie “Missions of Love”

Tina Tamashiro & Yuta Koseki are cast in live-action drama series “Missions of Love” and live-action movie “Missions of Love.” The drama series version will air sometime this spring on as of yet unspecified network and the live-action film version will be released sometime this summer via distributor T-Joy. Both titles are based on manga “Watashi ni xx Shinasai!” by Ema Toyama and will be directed by Toru Yamamoto. Story for “Missions of Love” will follow Yukino Himuro (Tina Tamashiro) who secretly writes cell phone novels under a pen name. She doesn’t have any experience in love and her novels lack in that aspect. She then discovers a secret of popular male student Shigure Kitami (Yuta Koseki). She decides to blackmail and assigns him “missions of love” to gather experience for her novel.

Story for “Life in Overtime” follows Sosuke Tashiro (Hiroshi Tachi) as he retires from his company. He can’t help noticing other people his age just passing their days doing nothing and decides that’s not for him. He meets the president of an IT company and also a woman. Movie is based on 2015 novel “Owatta Hito” by Makiko Uchidate and directed Hideo Nakata.

“Life in Overtime” will be released June 9, 2018.

Mahiro Takasugi, Ryo Kato and Daichi Watanabe cast in live-action film “Gangoose”

Mahiro Takasugi, Ryo Kato and Daichi Watanabe are cast in live-action film “Gangoose.” The film is based on manga “Gangoose” by Daisuke Suzuki and directed by Yu Irie. The three main male characters grew up at a youth detention center and came from abusive homes. The men commit crimes against criminal groups to survive.

Filming for “Gangoose” will take place from January 20, 2018 to late Febraury, 2018 and the movie will be released sometime during autumn, 2018 in Japan.
