Shuri, Masaki Suda, Riisa Naka cast in movie “Ikiteru Dake de, Ai”

ShuriMasaki Suda, and Riisa Naka are cast in movie “Ikiteru Dake de, Ai.” The film is the third feature film adapted from a novel by Yukiko Motoya (“Funuke Show Some Love, You Losers!“/”Vengeance Can Wait“). Also cast for supporting roles are Tetsushi Tanaka, Naomi Nishida, Yutaka Matsushige, Shizuka Ishibashi and Lisa Oda. Story for “Ikiteru Dake de, Ai” follows a hikkimori girl with hypersomnia (Shuri), her seemingly indifferent boyfriend (Masaki Suda) and his ex-girlfriend (Riisa Naka).

Filming for “Ikiteru Dake de, Ai” began January 8, 2018 and already finished. Movie will be released sometime this autumn in Japan.

Hana Sugisaki cast in live-action film “Bleach”

Hana Sugisaki is in upcoming live-action film “Bleach” starring Sota Fukushi. For the live-action film, Hana Sugisaki will play Rukia Kuchiki. She transfers her power as a Soul Reaper to Ichigo Kurosaki (Sota Fukushi) after she is injured while battling a Hollow. Until she is able to regain her powers, she lets Ichigo Kurosaki do her work as Soul Reaper and supports him. During this time she lives secretly in Ichigo Kurosaki’s closet and pretends to be ordinary female high school student. She attends the same high school as Ichigo Kurosaki does. Movie is based on manga “Bleach”by Tite Kubo.

In addition, release date for “Bleach” is now set for July 20, 2018 in Japan.

Trailer for movie “Last Hold!” starring Ryoichi Tsukada (A.B.C-Z) and the 6 members from Johnny’s ‘Snow Men’ idol group Ryota Miyadate, Shota Watanabe, Tatsuya FukasawaRyohei Abe, Daisuke Sakuma and Hikaru Iwamoto. In addition, below are two still images from the film featuring supporting actors Masanobu Katsumura as a coach from a rival school. The second still image is of Ryusuke Komakine & Munenori Nagano. Story for “Last Hold!” follows senior university student Okajima (Ryoichi Tsukada). He is the sole member of the school’s rock climbing club and he is about to graduate. So the club can continue, Okajima seeks out new members.

“Last Hold!” will be released May 12, 2018 in Japan.

Taiki Sato cast in live-action film “Marmalade Boy”

Taiki Sato (‘EXILE’ and ‘FANTASTICS’) is cast for a supporting role in upcoming live-action film “Marmalade Boy.” The film is based on manga series “Marmalade Boy” by Wataru Yoshizum and stars Hinako SakuraiRyo Yoshizawa. In the upcoming film, Taiki Sato will play Ginta Suou. He is classmates with Miki Koishikawa (Hinako Sakurai) and they are also friends. Ginta Suou is an ace tennis player and he also holds feelings for Miki Koishikawa.

“Marmalade Boy” opens April 27, 2018 in Japan.

More cast members announced for movie “Sunny: Tsuyoi Kimochi Tsuyoi Ai”

More cast members have been announced for upcoming movie “Sunny: Tsuyoi Kimochi Tsuyoi Ai.” The film is a remake of 2011 South Korean film “Sunny.” Now cast in the film to play main characters from their high school days are Elaiza Ikeda, Maika YamamotoMio Noda, Momoko Tanabe and Miu Tomita. Suzu Hirose was previously announced to play lead character from high school days Nami.

For the movie, Elaiza Ikeda will play Nana. She is beautiful and admired by Nami. Maika Yamamoto will play play high school student Serika (Yoko Maki plays adult character). Mio Noda will play high school student Yuko (Eiko Koike plays adult character). Momoko Tanabe will play high school student Kokoro (Rie Tomosaka plays adult character). Miu Tomita will play high school student high school student Ume (Naomi Watanabe plays adult character).

“Sunny: Tsuyoi Kimochi Tsuyoi Ai” is now set for release August 31, 2018 in Japan. Below are two still images from the upcoming film.

Kyoko Koizumi cast in movie “Taberu Onna”

Kyoko Koizumi is cast for the lead role in movie “Taberu Onna.” Also cast in supporting roles are Erika SawajiriAtsuko MaedaAlice HiroseYu YamadaMitsu DanCharlotte Kate Fox and Kyoka Suzuki. The film is based on novels “Taberu Onna” and “Zoku ・ Taberu Onna” by Tomomi Tsutsui and directed by Jiro Shono. Story for “Taberu Onna” will follow the daily lives of 8 women with Kyoko Koizumi playing Atsuko Mochitsuki. Their daily lives are depicted through what they eat and who they sleep with.

Filming for “Taberu Onna” began January 8, 2018 and will finish during the middle of next month. Movie will then be released September, 2018 in Japan via Toei.

Trailer for movie “Saimon & Tada Takashi” starring Itsuki Sakamoto and Kenta Suga. Movie is written and directed by Manabu Oda. The film follows high school student Takashi (Kenta Suga) as he decides to take a road trip to find a girl, before taking over his family auto repair shop. He takes along his best friend Saimon (Itsuki Sakamoto), but Saimon may hold secret feelings for Takashi.

“Saimon & Tada Takashi” will be released March 24, 2018 in Japan.

Supporting cast announced for movie “Neko wa Daku Mono”

Supporting cast has been revealed for upcoming movie “Neko wa Daku Mono” starring Erika Sawajiri. Now cast in supporting roles are Ryo Yoshizawa, Kom I (‘Wednesday Campanella’), Kazunobu Mineta (‘GING NANG BOYZ’) and Ryo Iwamatsu. The film is directed by Isshin Inudo and based on 2015 novel “Neko wa Daku Mono” by Junko Oyama.

For the film, Ryo Yoshizawa will play Russian Blue male cat Yoshio. He believes he is Saori Oishi’s (Erika Sawajiri) boyfriend.

“Neko wa Daku Mono” will be released June 23, 2018 in Japan.

Teaser poster and trailer added for movie “Nomitori Samurai” starring Hiroshi Abe. The samurai comedy film is based on short story collection “Nomi Tori Samurai” by Shigeo Komatsu and directed by Yasuo Tsuruhashi. In the film, Hirooshi Abe plays Hironoshin Kobayashi. After angering the daimyo in his domain, he is ordered to catch fleas from cats to make money. He ends up providing sexual service to women.
