Teaser trailer added for movie “Kyoukaishi” starring the last Ren Osugi. The film features the last acting performance by Ren Osugi before he passed away on February 21, 2018 of a heart attack. The film also has Ren Osugi working as a producer for the first time in his career. In the movie “Kyoukaishi.” Ren Osugi plays a prison chaplain. He works with death-row inmates. Movie is written and directed by Dai Sako.
“Kyoukaishi” will be released October 6, 2018 in Japan.
Trailer for movie “Code Blue” starring Tomohisa Yamashita, Yui Aragaki, Erika Toda, Manami Higa and Yosuke Asari. Movie is a sequel to the Fuji TV drama series “Code Blue.” The trailer also features the movie’s theme song which is “Hanabi” by Japanese pop-rock band “Mr.Children.” Lastly Mackenyu Arata, Rino Katase and Kasumi Yamayaare cast in supporting roles for the film and they will play characters that did not appear in any of the Fuji TV drama series versions.
“Code Blue” will be released July 27, 2018 in Japan.
Main trailer and poster added for upcoming auto racing themed film “Over Drive” starring Masahiro Higashide and Mackenyu Arata. In addition, the theme song for the film has been revealed as “Drive” by Japanese punk rock band “Wanima.”

Fumi Nikaido & Gackt are cast in live-action film “Tonde Saitama.” Movie is based on manga series “Tonde Saitama” by Mineo Maya and directed by Hideki Takeuchi (“Nodame Cantabile“/”Thermae Romae“). The film is set in an imaginary, present day Japan where people from Saitama Prefecture are persecuted. For an even trippier twist, Fumi Nikaido will play a boy who looks like a girl.
Filming begins March 21, 2018 and the movie will be released sometime in 2019.

The poster was shot by photographer Nobuyoshi Araki on September 1, 2017 at studio in Tokyo. Movie is the latest film directed by Masato Harada and based on 2013 novel novel “Kensatsugawa no Zainin” by Shusuke Shizukui.
“Killing For The Prosecution” will be released August 24, 2018 in Japan.
Dai Watanabe is cast for the lead role in movie “Usuke Boys.” Also cast in supporting roles are Masayuki Deai, Yuka Takeshima, Kenta Uchino and Satoshi Judai. The film is based on non-fiction novel “Usuke Boys: Nippon Wine no Kakumei Ko-tachi” by Kaori Kawai. Story for the film follows a group of young wine fans. They then encounter a wine maker (Isao Hashizume) who is responsible for making one of the world’s finest merlot.
In addition, a trailer for the film has been added on AsianWiki. “Usuke Boys” will be released sometime this autumn in Japan.

Yo Oizumi is cast in new movie “Damashie no Kiba.” The film is based on 2016 novel “Damashie no Kiba” by Takeshi Shiota. The novel’s main character was written specifically with actor Yo Oizumi in mind. The main character works as a magazine editor.
“Damashie no Kiba” will be released sometime next year in Japan.
