The film has Masahiro Higashide and Mackenyu Arata playing bickering brothers involved in the rally car racing world. Mackenyu Arata plays younger brother Naozumi Hiyama (he’s the hot headed, but talented race car driver) and Masahiro Higashide plays older brother Atsuhiro Hiyama (he works as the mechanic for the race car team).

Ai Hashimoto, Mugi Kadowaki and Ryo Narita are cast in movie “It’s Boring Here, Pick Me Up” (literal title). The film is based on 2012 novel “Koko wa Taikutsu Mukae ni Kite” by Mariko Yamauchi. Mariko Yamauchi also wrote the 2013 novel “Azumi Haruko wa Yukuefumei” which was adapted into movie “Japanese Girls Never Die.” In the “It’s Boring Here, Pick Me Up,” Ai Hashimoto will play lead character I. She returns to her hometown after spending 10 years in Tokyo. She still likes Shiina-kun (Ryo Narita) from her high school days. Mugi Kadowaki also plays a girl with the name I. Her ex-boyfriend is Shiina-kun and she still likes him as well. Movie is directed by Ryuichi Hiroki.
Filming for “It’s Boring Here, Pick Me Up” took place from June to July, 2017 and the film will be released this autumn in Japan.
Teaser trailer for movie “Love × Doc” starring Yo Yoshida, Shuhei Nomura, Hiroshi Tamaki and Ryoko Hirosue. The romantic-comedy film features an original screenplay by Osamu Suzuki and also directed by Osamu Suzuki.

Teaser trailer for movie “What A Wonderful Family! 3: My Wife, My Life” directed by Yoji Yamada. Movie is the third film in Yoji Yamada’s “What A Wonderful Family!” series which revolves around the Hirata family and its daily life problems. In “What A Wonderful Family! 3: My Wife, My Life,” housewife Fumie Hirata (Yui Natsukawa) becomes fed up with her insensitive husband Konosuke Hirata (Masahiko Nishimura) and leaves their home. The Hirata home goes into chaos without Fumie.

Poster and trailer for live-action film “Inuyashiki” starring Noritake Kinashi and Takeru Satoh. Movie is based on manga “Inuyashiki” by Hiroya Oku and directed by Shinsuke Sato (“Gantz“). Story for “Inuyashiki” follows two men, one an elderly father and the other a high school student, become powerful cyborgs after witnessing an explosion. The trailer also reveals the rocking theme song for the movie which is “Take Me Under” performed by Man with a Mission.

Erika Toda & Sakurako Ohara are cast in period film “The Day’s Organ” (literal title of “Ano Hi no Orugan”). The film is based on a true story and set during the final days of World War II. Movie will be scripted and directed by Emiko Hiramatsu. In the movie, Erika Toda & Sakurako Ohara will play two women who convince parents at an elementary school to take their kids out of Tokyo before the city is bombed. They eventually hide out at an abandoned temple in Saitama.
Filming for “The Day’s Organ” begins March, 2018 and the movie will be released spring, 2019 in Japan.
Haru and Hidetoshi Nishijima are cast in movie “Oz Land.” The film is based on 2015 novel “Ozu no Sekai” by Yoichi Komori and directed by Takafumi Hatano (“SP: The Motion Picture“).
In the film, Haru will play Kurumi Namihiro. She hoped to work at a 5-star hotel chain, but the corporate office sends her to work at an amusement park run by an affiliate company. The amusement park is out in the countryside. Although she is not initially enthusiastic about her job, she begins to enjoy her work. Hidetoshi Nishijima will play Yoshiko Ozuka. A co-worker at the amusement park. Kurumi Namihiro learns his secret.

Goro Inagaki is cast for the lead role in movie “Hansekai.” Also cast in major supporting roles are Hiroki Hasegawa, Chizuru Ikewaki and Kiyohiko Shibukawa. The film will be written and directed Junji Sakamoto. The film will deal with a man (Goro Inagaki) who takes for granted his family and work, but after encountering a former friend (Hiroki Hasegawa) he changes his way.
Release date for “Hansekai” has not yet been decided.
Jun Shison is cast for the lead role in new NTV live-action drama series “Dolmen X” and upcoming live-action film “Dolmen X.” Also cast in major supporting roles are Koudai Asaka, Yuuki Ogoe, Tina Tamashiro, Arata Horii, Ren Kiriyama and Yoshimi Tokui. Both the drama series and movie are based on manga series “Dolmen X” by Yuna Takagi. The movie version will include more scenes of the alien group 15 years after the drama series.
Jun Shison, Koudai Asaka, Yuuki Ogoe, Tina Tamashiro and Arata Horii will play aliens who want to invade Earth without having war. They decide to become an idol group to help accomplish their goal. The idol group is named “Dolmen X.” Ren Kiriyama will play actor Shugo Sanemitsu and Yoshimi Tokui will play an entertainment company president.
NTV drama series “Dolmen X” will first air March 10, 2018 and the live-action film version will be released sometime later year in Japan..
