Shota Matsuda is cast in NTV drama series “Your Home is My Business! Counterattack” (literal title) starring Keiko Kitagawa. “Your Home is My Business! Counterattack” follows 2016 NTV drama series “Your Home is My Business!” and 2017 NTV drama special “Your Home is My Business! Returns.” For the drama series, Shota Matsuda will play new character Kenji Rusudo. He works as a real estate agent and is a rival of Machi Sangenya. Screenplay for the drama series is set after last year’s drama special which ended with Machi Sangenya (Keiko Kitagawa) proposing to Dai Yashiro (Toru Nakamura).

Ikki Sawamura is cast in TV Asahi drama series “Detective Zero” (literal title of “Keiji Zero”). The drama series features an original screenplay by Masashi Todayama (“Aibou: The Movie“). Story for “Detective Zero” will have Ikki Sawamura playing 51-year-old detective Rekihiko Tokiya. An accident causes him to lose the last 20 years of his memory. He then returns to work as a detective, but his methodology differs.

Kou Shibasaki is cast in WOWOW drama series “The House on the Slope” (literal title). The drama series is based on 2016 novel “Saka no Tochu no Ie” by Mitsuyo Kakuta (“The Eighth Day“/”Paper Moon“). For the drama series, Kou Shibasaki will play housewife and mother Risako Yamazaki. She is selected to take part in a murder trial involving a mother who killed her own infant daughter. Hana Sugisaki is cast for the main character role in new TV Asahi drama series “Haken Uranaishi Ataru.” The drama series is scripted by Kazuhiko Yukawa and directed by Kazuhiko Yukawa and Ken Higurashi. Also cast in supporting roles are Yukiyoshi Ozawa, Mirai Shida, Shotaro Mamiya, Jun Shison, Maho Nonami, Yuka Itaya, Mayumi Wakamura and Mitsuhiro Oikawa. For the drama series, Hana Sugisaki will play 21-year-old Ataru Matoba. She begins her first job and she also has a secret ability: when she makes eye contact with people she can see their troubles or permanent memories.

Tsubasa Honda & Amane Okayama are cast in TBS-MBS live-action drama series “Yuube wa Otanoshimi Deshita ne.” The drama series is based on manga “Yuube wa Otanoshimi Deshita ne” by Renjuro Kindaichi. The drama series has Takumi Satsuki (Amane Okayama) inviting an online video game teammate to stay at his place. They have never met before, but both persons use avatars of the opposite sex. When they meet, Takumi Satsuki is surprised that the other person is a woman (Tsubasa Honda).

Kentaro Sakaguchi, Haruna Kawaguchi and Naohito Fujiki are cast in NTV drama “Innocence: False Accusation Lawyer” (“Inosensu: Enzai Bengoshi”). Kentaro Sakaguch will play main character Taku Kurokawa. He is an attorney who has successfully won “not guilty” verdicts for his clients. This is pretty rare in Japan as the country has a conviction rate over 99%. Haruna Kawaguchi will play rookie attorney Kaede Wakura. She works with Taku Kurokawa on cases. Naohito Fujiki will play physics professor Kyoichiro Akiu. He helps Taku Kurokawa in crime scene demonstrations. The original screenplay is scripted by Kazunao Furuya.
“Innocence: False Accusation Lawyer” first airs January, 2019 in Japan.
Yui Okada, Kenichi Endo and Yuu Shirota are cast in new TV Asahi drama series “Watashi no Ojisan: Wataoji.” The drama series is scripted by Ayuka Kishimoto. In the drama series, Yui Okada plays Hikari Ichinose. She lands a new job as an assistant director at a variety show. She works under a foul-mouthed director played by Yuu Shirota. One day, she sees Oji-san (played by Oji-san) who introduces himself as a fairy.

Shuhei Nomura and Hinako Sakurai are cast in TV Asahi live-action drama series “I Give My First Love to You” (literal title). The drama series is based on manga series “Boku no Hatsukoi wo Kimi ni Sasagu” by Kotomi Aoki. 2009 movie “I Give My First Love to You,” starring Mao Inoue and Masaki Okada,
is also based on the same manga series. Also cast in supporting roles for the drama series are Fumika Baba, Airi Matsui, Honoka Yahagi, Takumi Kizu, Kentaro Tomita, Riko Fukumoto, Hitomi Korenaga, Sei Matobu and Hikari Ishida. Story for the drama series follows the romance between Takuma Kakinouchi (Shuhei Nomura) and Mayu Taneda (Hinako Sakurai). They first met at the age of 8, when they were hospital patients. They meet again as high school students.

His long list of comedy hits include classics like “Waterboys,” “Swing Girl,” “Happy Flight” and “Wood Job!.” In movie “Dance with Me,” Ayaka Miyosh plays office worker Shizuka Suzuki. She is hypnotized into dancing whenever a ringtone plays.
