Teaser trailer #2 added for TBS drama series “Downtown Rocket 2” starring Hiroshi Abe, Tao Tsuchiya and Ryoma Takeuchi. Drama series is a sequel to 2015 TBS drama series “Downtown Rocket” and based on 2018 novel “Shitamachi Rocket Gosuto” by Jun Ikeido. The teaser trailer also reveals that ep.1 of “Downtown Rocket 2” will air Sunday, October 14, 2018 in Japan.

Hiroshi Tamaki is cast in new WOWOW drama series “Nusumareta Kao.” The drama series is based on 2012 novel “Nusumareta Kao” by Keisuke Hada. For the drama series, Hiroshi Tamaki will play Takamasa Shirato. He works as a detective, but catches criminals solely by their faces. Osamu Mukai is cast for the lead role in WOWOW drama series “Pandora IV AI War” (“Pandora IV AI Senso”). Also cast in supporting roles are Hitomi Kuroki, Mimura, Takahiro Miura, Koji Yamamoto, Taizo Harada and Atsuro Watabe. The drama series features a medical-technology suspense themed story scripted by Yumiko Inoue and directed by Shunsaku Kawake & Shosuke Murakami. Osamu Mukai will play Tetsuro Suzuki. He works at a medical center run by a tech company and has developed AI technology to diagnose humans.

Ryoko Yonekura is cast in new TV Asahi drama series “Legal V.” In drama series “Legal V,” Ryoko Yonekura will play main character Shoko Takanashi. Her character was once a lawyer, but she was disbarred. She then gets a professor with a law degree, to open an office. She hires an attorney and a paralegal and they work together as a team on legal cases.

Kenichi Endo is cast in new WOWOW drama series “Kenichi Endo to Kankuro Kudo no Benkyo Sasete Itadakimasu.” The drama series is scripted by Kankuro Kudo. In the drama series, Kenichi Endo will play himself. He performs in a suspense drama series as Detective Moroi. In addition, a teaser trailer for the drama series has been added on AsianWiki.

Yuko Araki is cast in Fuji TV drama series “Suits” starring Yuji Oda,Yuto Nakajima and Honami Suzuki. Yuko Araki will play supporting character Makoto Hijirisawa. Her character works as a paralegal at a law firm. She was not able to become a lawyer which was her dream, but she is quite good at her job. The drama series is a remake of U.S. cable TV series “Suits” which first aired on USA Networks in 2011.

Nanako Matsushima is cast in TV Asahi drama special “Yuukai Houtei: Seven Days.” The drama special is a remake of 2007 South Korean film “Seven Days” starring Kim Yunjin. Nanako Matsushima will play main character Meiko Amabuki. She works as an attorney and is going through a divorce. Her daughter is then kidnapped and she receives a demand from the kidnapper. The drama special will be directed by Manabu Aso and scripted by Yoshihiro Izumi.

Yudai Chiba is cast in NTV drama series “Way Too Kawaii!” The drama series is based on 2012 novel “Puriti ga Oosugiru” by Kozue Oosaki Yudai Chiba will play the lead role of Yoshitaka Niimi. He transfers from a literary editor department to working at a fashion magazine. Supporting cast members will include Aimi Satsukawa, Keiko Horiuchi, Tetta Sugimoto, Akiyoshi Nakao, Mario Kuroba, Kinako Kobayashi, Reina Ikehata, Maimi Yajima, Rena Takeda, Mijika Nagai, Akaji Maro, Kurumi Shimizu, Asuka Moriyama, Tetsuhiro Ikeda and Miwako Shishido.
“Way Too Kawaii” first airs October 18, 2018 in Japan and consists of 10 episodes.
Yuki Furukawa is cast for a major supporting character role in TV Tokyo live-action drama series “Ten: Tenhodori No Kaidanji” starring Goro Kishitani. The drama series is based on manga series “Kuroshitsuji” by Nobuyuki Fukumoto. Yuki Furukawa will play Hiroyuki Igawa. He hustles money by playing mahjong games against normal folks. He meets Takashi Ten (Goro Kishitani) and they decide to play against the best professional mahjong players. Yuki Furukawa in his real life has played mahjong for the past 11 years and started when he was a university student.
“Ten: Tenhodori No Kaidanji” will first air sometime this autumn in Japan.
