Chiaki Kuriyama is cast in upcoming Fuji TV drama series “Final Cut” co-starring Kazuya Kamenashi. For the drama series, Chiaki Kuriyama will play lead female character Yukiko Ogawara. Along with her younger sister, Wakaba Ogawara (Kanna Hashimoto), she holds a key to a case involving the death of a young girl. Yukiko Ogawara works as a curator. She gets attracted to Keisuke Nakamura (Kazuya Kamenashi) who hides his true identity and approaches her for revenge.

Hideaki Takizawa (‘Tackey & Tsubasa’) is cast for the lead male role in new Tokai TV drama series “Kazoku no Tabiji.” The drama series is based on 2003 novel “Chichi to Ko no Tabiji” by Kenji Kosugi. In the drama series, Hideaki Takizawa will play Yosuke Asari. He works as an attorney and his own parents and grandfather were murdered when he was a child. The convicted killer is set for a retrial.

Minami Hamabe is cast in TBS-MBS live-action drama series “Kakegurui.” The drama series is based on manga series “Kakegurui” by Homura Kawamoto and directed by Tsutomu Hanabusa. For “Kakegurui,” Minami Hamabe will play Yumeko Jabami. She is a transfer student at the prestigious Hyakkaou Private Academy. The students there are divided up by how well they do in games that they bet on. Yumeko Jabami is a compulsive gambler and she loves nothing more than the thrill of making a high stakes bet.
“Kakegurui” will first air January 14, 2018 on MBS and January 16, 2018 on TBS in Japan.
Yuko Natori & Yumi Asou are cast in new TV Tokyo drama series “Kakuho no Onna.” In the drama series, Yumi Asou will play Detective Aya at the Kanagawa Prefecture Police Station. Yuko Natori will play Yuriko. She previously worked in the office at Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, but (in an unusual move) gets transferred to the Kanagawa Prefecture Police Station and works out in the field. Yuko Natori & Yumi Asou previously starred together as insurance examiners in 2014 TV Tokyo drama series “Woman of Maruho.”

Kazuki Namioka & Yuki Yoda (‘Nogizaka46’) are cast for major supporting character roles in TV Tokyo-Netflix drama series “Mob Psycho 100” starring Tatsuomi Hamada. The drama series is based on webcomic “Mob Psycho 100” by One and directed by Koichi Sakamoto. For the drama series, Kazuki Namioka will play Arataka Reigen. He runs a spirit counseling agency where Shigeo Kageyama (Tatsuomi Hamada). Yuki Yoda will play Tsubomi Takane. She is a childhood friend of Shigeo Kageyama’s.
“Mob Psycho 100” will stream on Netflix from January 12, 2018 and will air on TV Tokyo from January 18, 2018 in Japan.

Kazuya Kamenashi (‘KAT-TUN’) is cast for the lead role in new Fuji TV-KTV drama series “Final Cut.” Also cast in supporting roles are Kanna Hashimoto, Naohito Fujiki, Kuranosuke Sasaki, Kento Hayashi, Yuya Takaki (‘Hey! Say! JUMP’), Tetta Sugimoto, Miki Mizuno and Ichiro Yatsui (member of comedy duo ‘Eleki Comic’). Story for “Final Cut” has Kazuya Kamenashi playing Keisuke Nakamura. He tries to find the killer of a girl that people accused his mother of killing. The murder took place 12 years ago and, after his mother was accused of the murder, she committed suicide.

Teaser trailer and teaser poster added for upcoming movie “Recall” starring Tomoya Nagase and Dean Fujioka. Movie is based on 2006 novel “Soratobu Taiya” by Jun Ikeido and directed by Katsuhide Motoki (“Samurai Hustle“). WOWOW previously adapted the novel into 2009 drama series “The Flying Tire” (literal title). Story for the film follows the owner (Tomoya Nagase) of a trucking company as he tries to prove a a faulty tire was the cause of a fatal accident.
“Recall” is now set for release June 15, 2018 in Japan.
Mackenyu Arata is cast in new NTV drama series “Kiss that Kills” starring Kento Yamazaki and Mugi Kadowaki. For drama series “Kiss that Kills,” Mackenyu Arata will play major supporting character Takauji Namiki. He is the son of a CEO and he is a figure who holds a key to the story. Takauji Namiki is in conflict with Otaro Dojima (Kento Yamazaki).

Suzu Hirose is cast in NTV drama series “Anone” (working title). Yuko Tanaka is also cast as a major supporting character. The drama series will be directed by Nobuo Mizuta and scripted by Yuji Sakamoto.
