Ayami Nakajo & Asami Mizukawa are cast in NTV drama “White Clothes‘ Warrior” (literal title of “Hakui no Senshi”). The drama series features an original screenplay by Mika Umeda (“Hanasaki Mai Speaks Out“) and directed by Shintaro Sugawara (“Kiss that Kills“). For the drama, Ayami Nakajo will play a rookie nurse & Asami Mizukawa will play veteran nurse.

The drama series is self-help book by “Atama ni Kitemo Aho towa Tatakauna” by Kotaro Tamura. Hiroto Akashi will direct the drama series and screenplay adaptation is handled by Kota Fukuhara. In the drama esries, Yuri Chinen plays main character Kotaro Tanimura. He works at a toy company and tries not to fight with fools.

Kosuke Suzuki is cast in live-action TV Tokyo drama series “Iyasaretai Otoko.” The drama series is based on manga series “Iyasaretai Otoko” by Toji Tsukishima. Tsukuru Matsuki and Takashi Ninomiya will direct the drama series. Kosuke Suzuki will play main character Akiyama in “Iyasaretai Otoko.” Akiyama works as a mid-level manager at toilet manufacturing company. He relives his stress by imaging sexual fantasies of attractive women he sees.

Tori Matsuzaka and Mizuki Yamamoto are cast in live-action Fuji TV drama series “Perfect World.” The drama series is based on manga series manga series “Perfect World” by Rie Aruga. Last year, a movie version of “Perfect World” was released starring Takanori Iwata and Hana Sugisaki. In the drama series version, Tori Matsuzaka will play architect Itsuki Ayukawa. An accident in his university days left him paralyzed below the waist and now permanently wheelchair bound. He meets his former high classmate Tsugumi Kawana (Mizuki Yamamoto).

Teaser trailer #3 & teaser poster added for WOWOW drama series “Dying Eye” starring Haruma Miura and Maryjun Takahashi. The drama series is based on 2007 novel “Dying Eye” by popular mystery writer Keigo Higashino. In addition, just announced supporting performers in the drama series are Marika Matsumoto, Hayato Kakizawa, Hayato Onozuka, Yasushi Fuchikami, Yuichi Kimura, Keiko Horiuchi and Katsuhisa Namase.

Kenichi Matsuyama and Akira Terao are cast for major supporting character roles in TV Asahi drama series “The Great White Tower” starring Junichi Okada. The drama series is based on novel “Shiroi Kyoto” by Toyoko Yamasaki (“The Unbroken“). The novel has been adapted into film and TV drama series previously. For the drama series, Kenichi Matsuyama will play Shuji Satomi and Akira Terao will play Teizo Azuma. Shuji Satomi is a surgeon who is concerned about saving lives, while main character Goro Zaizen (Junichi Okada) also seeks fame as a surgeon.
“The Great White Tower” will consist of 5 episodes and air on consecutive days sometime later this year in Japan.
Tomoyo Harada & Kei Tanaka are cast in NTV drama series “It’s Your Turn” (literal title). The drama features an original screenplay by Mitsunori Fukuhara (“Shimokitazawa Die Hard“) and directed by Noriyoshi Sakuma (“Miss Devil“). Story for “It’s Your Turn” is setup as a murder mystery that is set an apartment complex. Tomoyo Harada & Kei Tanaka will play newlyweds who just move in to the apartment complex.

Hidetoshi Nishijima & Seiyo Uchino are cast in live-action TV Tokyo drama series “What Did You Eat Yesterday?” The drama series is based on manga series “Kinou Nani Tabeta?” by Fumi Yoshinaga (“Antique“/”Ooku: The Inner Chamber“). In the drama series Hidetoshi Nishijima will play attorney Shiro Kakei and Seiyo Uchino will play hairdresser Kenji Yabuki. The two men are a gay couple, but only Kenji Yabuki has come out about his sexuality.

Yuriko Yoshitaka is cast for the lead role new TBS drama series “No Working After Hours.” The drama series is based on novel “Watashi, Teiji de Kaerimasu” by Kaeruko Akeno. Also cast in supporting roles are Osamu Mukai, Tokio Emoto, Yuki Izumisawa, Kavka Shishido, Yuki Uchida and Yusuke Santamaria. For drama series “No Working After Hours,” Yuriko Yoshitaka will play Yui Higashiyama. Her character absolutely hates working overtime and workaholics in general. Trouble brews for her when a new department head works at her company.

Taisuke Fujigaya (‘Kis-My-Ft.2’) is cast for double lead roles in Fuji TV-Tokai TV drama series “Mirror Twins Season 1” and WOWOW drama series “Mirror Twins Season 2.” In the drama series, Taisuke Fujigaya will play Detective Keigo Katsuragi and his twin brother Yugo Katsuragi. In season 1, an attempted murder takes place and the same DNA of Keigo Katsuragi is found at the crime scene. Keigo Katsuragi suspects the DNA is that of his twin brother Yugo.
