Kei Inoo from ‘Hey! Say! JUMP’ is cast in upcoming TV Asahi drama special “Doctor-X” starring Ryoko Yonekura. In the drama special, Kei Inoo will play Kojiro Himuro. His character is a champion figure skater about to take part in a world competition, but he will go undergo surgery performed by Michiko Daimon (Ryoko Yonekura).

Mei Nagano is cast in TV Tokyo live-action drama series “Koe Koi.” The drama series is based on manga “Koe Koi” by Doruru. In drama series “Koe Koi,” Mei Nagano will play Yuiko Yoshioka. Her character is entering the first year of high school. She gets sick though and stays in bed. That’s when she receives a phone call from Class President Matsubara who turns out to be really nice to her and causing her heart to flutter.

Actress Haru is cast in upcoming Fuji TV-KTV drama series “On.” The drama series is based on 2014 novel “ON Ijo Hanzai Sosakan Todo Hinako” by Ryo Naito. Haru will play a detective for the first time in her acting career in the drama series.

Kotaro Koizumi & Haruna Kawaguchi cast in NHK drama series “Juken no Cinderella.” The drama series is based on 2008 novel by “Juken no Shinderera” by Hideki Wada. 2008 film “Cinderella Formula” is also based on the same story and directed by original writer Hideki Wada.
Setup for the film has Tooru Igarashi (Kotaro Koizumi) playing a former preparatory school instructor whose life has come crashing down. He has learned that he has only 1 year to live. He meets Maki Endo played by Haruna Kawaguchi. She works multiple part-time jobs while attending a part-time high school. Tooru Igarashi then agrees to tutor to her so she can get into the University of Tokyo.

Noriyuki Higashiyama & Takako Matsu are cast in TBS drama special “Futsu ga Ichiban: Sakka Fujisawa Shuhei Chichi no Hitokoto.” The drama series is based on two essays by Nobuko Endo, which depicts her life as the daughter of writer Shuhei Fujisawa. In the drama special, Noriyuki Higashiyama will play writer Shuhei Fujisawa and Takako Matsu will plays his wife Masako Kosuga.
“Futsu ga Ichiban: Sakka Fujisawa Shuhei Chichi no Hitokoto” will air sometime this summer in Japan.
Tatsuya Fujiwara is cast in NTV drama series “Soshite, Dare mo Inaku Natta.” Also cast in the drama series are Tetsuji Tamayama and Hitomi Kuroki. The drama series will be directed by Toya Sato (worked with Tatsuya Fujiwara in movie “Gambling Apocalypse Kaiji“) and Mitsuru Kubota (“Angel Heart“).

In drama series “The Girl Who Leapt Through Time,” Yuina Kuroshima plays high school student Mihane Yoshiyama. After smelling a lavender scent in the science lab, she gains the power to leap through time. Meanwhile, Fuma Kikuchi plays her classmate Shohei Fukamachi. Shohei Fukamachi is actually from the future.

Ikki Sawamura is cast in WOWOW drama series “Kibogaoka no Hitobito.” Also cast in the drama series are Emi Wakui, Hiyori Sakurada, Keita Ninomiya & Kazue Ito. The drama series is based 2009 novel “Kibogaoka no Hitobito” by Kiyoshi Shigematsu (“Tonbi“).
Story for “Kibogaoka no Hitobito,” has Ikki Sawamura playing Tajima. His wife, played by Emi Wakui, dies shortly after being diagnosed with cancer. He takes his two children to his late wife’s hometown and on a whim decides to live there with his children.

Noriko Iriyama and Jun Shison are cast in Fuji TV live-action drama series “You’re My Pet.” Also cast in supporting roles are Terunosuke Takezai, Yurina Yanagi, Kayo Noro (ex-AKB48) and Yuumi Shida. The drama series is based on manga series “Kimi wa Pet” by Yayaoi Ogawa which was previously adapted into 2003 TBS drama series “You’re My Pet” (starring Koyuki and Jun Matsumoto) and 2011 South Korean film “You’re My Pet” (starring Kim Ha-Neul andJang Keun-Suk).
Exact air date for “You’re My Pet” has yet be decided, but it will air late night in Japan.
Actress Keiko Kitagawa is cast in new NTV drama series “Ie Uru Onna” (literally “Women Who Sells A House”). Drama series also pairs screenwriter Shizuka Oishi (“Second Virgin“) with directors Ryuichi Inomata (“I’m Mita, Your Housekeeper“) and Noriyoshi Sakuma (“My Little Nightmare“).
In drama series “Ie Uru Onna,” Keiko Kitagawa plays real estate extraordinaire Machi Sangenya. Her character is determined to get everyone of her clients to purchase a home from her. She uses her own special method to accomplish this goal. Her special method involves immersing herself in her client’s family problems and attempting to solve them.
