Takako Matsu, Hikari Mitsushima, Issei Takahashi & Ryuhei Matsuda are cast in TBS drama series “Quartet.” The drama series features an original screenplay by Yuji Sakamoto and will be directed by Nobuhiro Doi. Premise for the drama series will revolve around four people in their 30’s who form a musical quartet. There is also a secret held by one of the members.

Karina cast in Fuji TV drama series “Kirawareru Yuuki”

Karina is cast in new Fuji TV drama series “Kirawareru Yuuki.” Also cast in the drama series are Shigeaki Kato (‘NEWS’) and Kippei Shiina. The drama series is based on self-improvement book “Kirawareru Yuuki” by Ichiro Kishimi and Fumitake Koga. In the drama series, Karina will play Detective Ranko Ando. Her character doesn’t care what others think and does her job well. She works with detective Toshio Ooyama (Shigeaki Kato) who cares how others view him. Literal title for the drama series is “Courage to Be Hated.”

Kinya Kitaoji, Shigeru Izumiya and Kotaro Shiga are set to reprise their respective characters in TV Tokyo drama series “Sanbiki no Ossan 3.” Also cast in supporting roles and reprising their respective roles are Takuro Ohno and Azusa Mine. Drama series revolves around 3 elderly men who become involved in patrolling their neighborhood against crime.

Ken Watanabe, Yumi Asou, Keiko Kitagawa and Fumi Nikaido are cast in new TBS drama SP “Shiawase no Kioku.” The four will play a family with Ken Watanabe playing the ex-husband Taro, Yumo Asou playing ex-wife Junko, Keiko Kitagawa playing older daughter Natsumi and Fumi Nikaido playing younger daughter Yuka. After Taro’s business goes under, he goes through a divorce and leaves his family’s home. 5 years later, he is in financial difficulties and suddenly moves back to the home he left.

Sadao Abe & Kyoko Fukada are cast in new TBS drama series “Gekokujo Juken.” The drama series is based on 2014 novel “Gekokujo Juken” by Shinichi Sakurai which is based on the author’s own true story.

In drama series “Gekokujo Juken,” Sadao Abe & Kyoko Fukada play husband and wife Shinichi & Kanako Sakurai. They have one daughter played by Mikuu Yamada. Both Shinichi & Kanako Sakurai received only middle school level educations. When Shinichi sees his daughter’s low national test scores, he decides to help her prepare for her own middle school entrance exams.

Sosuke Ikematsu is cast in live-action TV Tokyo drama series “Gin to Kin.” The drama series is based on manga series “Gin to Kin” by Nobuyuki Fukumoto (“Kaiji“). Sosuke Ikematsu will play main character Tetsuo Morita. He becomes involved in a gambling and keeps losing. He meets Ginji Hirai at the racetrack and aspires to become even more successful than him. Supporting cast for live-action film “Teiichi’s Country”

Cast in supporting roles for upcoming live-action film are “Teiichi’s Country” starring Masaki Suda are: Shuhei Nomura, Ryoma Takeuchi, Shotaro Mamiya, Jun Shison, Yudai Chiba, Mei Nagano & Kotaro Yoshida. The film is based on manga series “Teiichi no Kuni” by Usamaru Furuya and directed by Akira Nagai.

In “Teiichi’s Country,” Shuhei Nomura will play Kikuma Togo. He was the childhood friend of Teiichi (Masaki Suda) and is now hostile to Teiichi. He has an ability to collect information.

Ryoma Takeuchi will play Dan Otaka. He is a student with a bright, faithful and honest personality.

Shotaro Mamiya will play Rorando Himuro. He is a 2nd grade high school student and a candidate for the school’s student council president position.

Jun Shison will play Komei Sakakibara. He is a popular student at the high school.

Yudai Chiba will play Okuto Morizo. He is also a 2nd grade high school student and a candidate for the school’s student council president position.

Mei Nagano will play Mimiko Shiratori. She secretly dates with Teiichi.

Kotaro Yoshida will play Josuke Akaba. He is the father of Teiichi.
