Jurina Matsui (‘SKE48’) and Shigeyuki Totsugi are cast in new TBS drama series “Death Cash.” The mystery themed drama series has Jurina Matsui playing university student Yuka Minami. Shigeyuki Totsugi will play Detective Takeshi Wakamoto. In the drama series, a friend of Yuka Minami suddenly dies with large amounts of 10,000 yen bills around her body and the 10,000 yen bills are stained in black. More people around Yuka Minami then die. Yuka Minami and Detective Takeshi Wakamoto work together to solve the mysterious deaths.

Reiko Takashima, Yoshiko Miyazaki and Atsuko Takahata are cast in TV Asahi drama series “Onnatachi no Tokusou Saizensen.” In the drama series, the three actresses play women who all work at the same police station, but none of them work as detectives. One lady works in the cafeteria, the other in the PR department and the other in general affairs. Yet, the three ladies like to gather in the cafeteria to go over cases and discover clues.

Ryuhei Matsuda is cast in upcoming Fuji TV drama series “Eigyo Bucho Kira Natsuko” starring Nanako Matsushima. In the drama series, Ryuhei Matsuda will play Keisuke Takagi. His character works as a creative director at an advertising firm. When he first started his job, he had a hard time and worked under Natsuko Kira (Nanako Matsushima). Natsuko Kira then took a maternity leave for 3 years and she has now returned to the company. Keisuke Takagi isn’t very nice to Natsuko upon her return, but he wants to show her that he has improved at his job.

Ayame Gouriki is cast in live-action TV Asahi drama series “Gu Ra Me!” The drama series is based on manga series “Gu Ra Me!~Daisaishou no Ryourinin~” by Mitsuru Nishimura. In the drama series, Ayame Gouriki plays Kurumi Ichiki. She works as a waitress at a high end traditional Japanese restaurant and is talented with cooking. She crosses paths with the executive secretary (Kenichi Takito) of the prime minister and eventually begins to work as a cook at the prime minister’s residence. Supporting actors include Kenichi Takito, Issei Takahashi, Yua Shinkawa & Risa Naito.

Emi Takei is cast in new TV Asahi drama special “Setouchi Shonen Yakyu dan.” The drama special is based on 1979 novel “Setouchi Shonen Yakyu dan” by Yu Aku. The novel was previously adapted into a 1984 movie of same name. Premise for the film is set after World War II. Emi Takei will play a teacher who decides to form a baseball team and becomes its coach to help inspire her students.

Haruma Miura is cast in upcoming NHK taiga drama series “Onna Joshu Naotora” starring Kou Shibasaki. Also cast in supporting character roles are Tetta Sugimoto, Naomi Zaizen, Gin Maeda, Kaoru Kobayashi, Issei Takahash, Yuya Yagira, Shihori Kanjiya, Tsuyoshi Muro, Takashi Ukaji, Mitsuru Fukikoshi, Shunsuke Kariya, Denden, Toshio Kakei and Baijaku Nakamura.
In “Onna Joshu Naotora,” Haruma Miura will play Naochika Ii. His character is the fiancé of Naotora (Kou Shibasaki). “Onna Joshu Naotora” first airs January, 2017 in Japan.
Emi Takei and Hideaki Takizawa are cast in live-action TBS drama series “Seisei Suruhodo, Aishiteru.” Drama series is based on manga series “Seisei Suruhodo, Aishiteru” by Miyuki Kitagawa. Also cast in the drama series are Aoi Nakamura, Erena Mizusawa, Reina Triendl and Mitsuomi Takahashi. In the drama series, Emi Takei plays Mia Kurihara. She works in the PR department at a company. She falls in love with the Vice President at the company played by Hideaki Takizawa, but he is married.

Kei Inoo from ‘Hey! Say! JUMP’ is cast in upcoming TV Asahi drama special “Doctor-X” starring Ryoko Yonekura. In the drama special, Kei Inoo will play Kojiro Himuro. His character is a champion figure skater about to take part in a world competition, but he will go undergo surgery performed by Michiko Daimon (Ryoko Yonekura).

Mei Nagano is cast in TV Tokyo live-action drama series “Koe Koi.” The drama series is based on manga “Koe Koi” by Doruru. In drama series “Koe Koi,” Mei Nagano will play Yuiko Yoshioka. Her character is entering the first year of high school. She gets sick though and stays in bed. That’s when she receives a phone call from Class President Matsubara who turns out to be really nice to her and causing her heart to flutter.

Actress Haru is cast in upcoming Fuji TV-KTV drama series “On.” The drama series is based on 2014 novel “ON Ijo Hanzai Sosakan Todo Hinako” by Ryo Naito. Haru will play a detective for the first time in her acting career in the drama series.
